Death Eyes

In shadows deep, where darkness lies,
A gaze of death, from eyes that prize.
Cold and still, they pierce the night,
Reflecting the absence of all light.

Those eyes once bright, now void of life,
Hold secrets buried, pain and strife.
A silent stare that chills the soul,
In death’s embrace, they take their toll.

Yet midst the gloom, a truth does rise,
In death’s eyes, a lesson lies.
To cherish life, each fleeting breath,
For in the end, we all face death.

So let us live with hearts ablaze,
Embrace each moment, life’s fleeting days.
For in the end, when our time is nigh,
May our eyes reflect a life well-spent, not just goodbye.
