Remember Me

Remember me and when you undercover called me a fake a** poet yeah about them words right there. How they sound now or should I say how they taste rolling off your tongue.

I guess you never thought my success would shine so bright, all along you praying for my failure with all your might. I-spying and sneaking to watch everything I do, Trust and believe a lot of these words I write they're just for you.

Don't get it twisted now cause I am still a woman with a lot of class and sass, but come at made me the wrong way and you will see this Leo Spaz.

Speaking behind my back and Constantly speaking ill of me, But the joke's on you cause those so called associations you have they're friends to me you see.

You smiled in my face with that fake ole grin, now the pain you inflicted on me is forever your sin. Tell the truth shame the devil is what they always say, but even the devil feels stupid and done went astray.

You see karma's a bad mama jama and it's heading your way, don't look confused remember all the words you had to say.

I'm just gonna sit back and let this energy take its course, and watch you ride away on your dummy horse.

Review by Vee Nelly

"Remember Me" is a raw, unapologetic piece that speaks directly to anyone who's ever doubted or undermined someone’s journey. PoeticPrettywings doesn’t just confront the negativity; she flips it back on those who tried to bring her down. The tone is fierce yet classy, filled with the kind of sass and confidence that can only come from someone who knows their worth and has seen the tables turn.

What I appreciate most is how she weaves the idea of karma throughout, reminding us all that what goes around always comes back around. There's a clear sense of triumph in her words, like she's sitting back and watching the same people who doubted her choke on their own words. The imagery is sharp, especially the line about riding off on a "dummy horse"—it's the perfect blend of humor and truth.

This poem is more than just a clapback; it’s a testament to personal growth and resilience. You can feel the strength in every line, and it's clear that she’s moved beyond the negativity, letting karma do its thing while she continues to shine. A powerful reminder to never let anyone’s doubts define you.

I hope that I was accurate in my reflection of this piece. Great job!
